From Liguria to Sicily, here are the 14 best beach clubs in Italy – Luciano Pignataro Wine Blog

In bookstores, the guide created and written by Andrea Guolo and Tiziana Di Masi, published by Morellini, which collects the 225 best Italian beach establishments, covering all the coastal regions.
At the same time as the release, the website italianbeach.club was born

The Italy of beach clubs no longer has secrets, thanks to the release of the first guide dedicated to the world of beach clubs. This selection is the result of a journey of over nine thousand kilometers across the entire Italian coast, along five seas and fifteen regions, for a total of 225 structures that represent the best of what is on offer in every area.

The curators of the guide, the journalist Andrea Guolo and the actress Tiziana Di Masi in the role of experiential consultant, made this journey. Each card tells the experience, the mood and the uniqueness of the beach club visited. The attribution of a vote expressed in hundredths for each criterion – location, services, design, food, beverage and mood of the structure – gave rise to the final ranking, from one to three umbrellas. And there are 14 Italian establishments that have obtained, according to the curators’ judgment, the highest recognition granted by the guide, i.e. the three gold umbrellas. Which are they?

Two are located in Liguria: Bagni Fiore by Langosteria in Paraggi and Eco del Mare in Lerici. One in Friuli Venezia Giulia: Purobeach Portopiccolo. Three are in Tuscany and to be precise in Versilia: Alpemare and Bagno Piero in Forte dei Marmi, Twiga in Marina di Pietrasanta. Three in Sardinia: Phi Beach and Nikki Beach in Arzachena, Il Gabbiano in Stintino. Three belong to Campania: Il Riccio in Anacapri, La Scogliera in Positano and Conca del Sogno in Nerano. Finally, two are in Sicily: Nuova Spiaggia Paradiso in Letojanni and Tao Beach in Taormina.

The award ceremony for the best establishments by category, with the awarding of the title of best beach club in Italy, will be held on Friday 24 May at 5.00 pm in Milan, as part of the Aperitivo Festival (Nhow Milano, via Tortona 35), the most great event that celebrates World Aperitif Day, the international anniversary dedicated to the aperitif ritual which in summer has Italian beaches as its reference destination. The “Guide to the best beach clubs in Italy” project, the only one of its kind in Italy, covers a channel that has so far been discovered despite its economic and social importance in the summer period. Furthermore, it has a multimedia value: the italianbeach.club website and the connected social channels were born from the guide. The site, also available in English, will be the point of reference for the search for beach establishments by international tourists who come to visit Italy.

The guide is naturally aimed at beach lovers but it can also be a useful comparison tool for operators in the sector who, for the first time, have a map of the complete offer at their disposal, and also for institutions, in view of the application of the Bolkestein Directive.

“This guide is an original tool” explain the authors “unpublished and indispensable for those who love the sea, beach life with all the best services, an aperitif at sunset, an excellent fish dish enjoyed with your feet on the sand, a cocktail prepared to perfection or a good glass of wine. And for those who want to choose the structures of excellence, the most glamorous ones but also the oldest ones where pages of history of holidays in Italy have been written”.
