Roberti, excellent work Prefecture on integrated security

The councilor participated in the swearing-in ceremony for the new agents in Trieste Trieste, 13 June – “I hope that the excellent coordination work carried out in recent years by the prefect Signoriello, whom I publicly thank, will be further strengthened in the context of a concept of integrated security that sees constant collaboration between all police forces”. Thus said the regional councilor for Security Pierpaolo Roberti speaking today at the ceremony – which was held inside the Castle of San Giusto – on the occasion of the 162 years of the local police of Trieste and the swearing-in of the new officers. As the representative of the Council explained, in terms of integrated security the Region “will always do its part, starting from the next budget adjustment law through which further resources will be allocated to the local and state police, with the aim to respond to the safety needs of citizens, because, although there is a good quality of life in Friuli Venezia Giulia, we must never let our guard down”. Roberti then recalled the important function carried out by the regional school of the local police which is based in Paluzza, a structure dedicated both to the training of recruits and to the continuous training of agents, which is “necessary to be up to date with the changes that are investing our communities and society in general”. Finally, the councilor underlined how, beyond what can be learned in training courses or from the experience of veteran agents, it is essential that at the basis of the profession there is a sincere and profound love for the uniform and for what it represents: the institution closest to the citizen”.
