Tragedy at the Montesilvano railway station, in the province of Pescara. A mother and her daughter were hit and killed by a Frecciarossa train headed for Milan. According to some witnesses, the woman and little girl, after entering the station hand in hand, they would head towards the platforms. Certainly around 6.30pm Red Arrow it was in transit at the station and they were hit. .
The investigations
Immediate lthe 118 intervention, but there was nothing that could be done for the victims. In addition to the Polfer, the police also arrived on site for investigations. THE two bodies, unrecognizable, remained on the tracks for several hours awaiting the technical assessments of the investigators, who arrived immediately on site after the alarm call to 112. The train driver was also interviewed. Trains in transit experienced delays of up to 140 minutes. Traffic then gradually resumed. THEMeanwhile, investigations continue to identify the two victims.
