The unpublished work is now available on digital platforms remix Of Bubbles realized by Pastano wins together with Marc Uselli. The remix is also announced in vinyl format 45 turnsin a limited edition.
Last year Bubbles he turned 40 and Carousel Records celebrated the album with the release of a special remastered edition entitled BUBBLES 40th RPLAY SPECIAL EDITION.
Now the celebrations for the album’s fortieth anniversary continue with this remix, signed by the guitarist and producer of Vasco Rossi. The remix drops in the middle of the 2024 tour Blascowhich also sees the return of Bubblesabsent for seven years.
Pastano’s story
Explains Pastano wins: «When I was asked to make a remix of Bollicine, I immediately exclaimed: “Bellissimo!”; But then a thousand fears came over me. I thought about calling a collaborator who could help me obtain a different sound, albeit inherent to the original. My friend and colleague Marc Urselli came to mind, a sound engineer who has lived in New York for 25 years and has won various Grammy Awards, collaborating with names such as U2, Lou Reed and the Beach Boys».
He adds Pastano: «I didn’t want a remix as a producer and so we tried to do it as musicians: we found a good understanding and we even dared to insert some references to groups we’ve been listening to all our lives, in addition to a rather tribal initial part and the refined ending with the strings . Vasco really liked the result!».
The Blasco Story
This remix is also talked about in the first issue of The Blasco Storya new editorial initiative on newsstands for a few days.
The volume has as its theme the 36 concerts held by Vasco Rossi to San Siro from 1990 to 2024, but also has an appendix dedicated to BubblesAnd. In particular, the genesis of the cover from Antonio Cozza, who made it at the time. It is confirmed, for example, by the fact that the photo was of Red Ronnie and that the same, according to what he says Cozzawas within the availability of Guido Elmi.
Then there is an article by Pastano wins which tells the story of the manufacturing process remix. The curious thing is that the remix is already considered published, as the release was originally scheduled for the month of May.
The same goes for the lyric video which is told by Arturo Bertusii.e. the one who created it together with Mirco Rinaldi And Valentina Gazzoni.
