ASOLA – Union, sharing of common projects and a single, ambitious objective: putting young people back at the center of the territory’s opportunities. With these premises, the Youth policy table in the Asolo area which, again this year, involves, with their consortium company Aspa Personal Services, the 12 municipalities of the area – Castel Goffredo, Asola, Mariana Mantovana, Casaloldo, Casalromano, Canneto sull’Oglio, Ceresara, Redondesco, Piubega, Casalmoro, Acquanegra sul Chiese and Gazoldo degli Ippoliti – the Archè social cooperative, the comprehensive institutes (Asola, Castel Goffredo, Canneto, Ceresara) as well as the secondary schools (Falcone, Bonsignori and Forma), various third sector entities (cooperatives, associations and speakers) and some young people who actively got involved.
The proposals kicked off with a great online event/game, the “Quizzone”. On this fun occasion, 130 boys and girls found themselves playing in some pre-established locations, identified within the 12 municipalities indicated above. On site the young people met not only to have fun and aspire to the final victory, but also to share carefree moments with their classmates, talk to them, between a snack with their peers and a quick answer to the questions presented on the screens.
Happy and confident, the experiences for the younger generations certainly don’t end here. This will be followed by various workshops in the summer and autumn period, such as: “Street art”, “Green experience”, “Theatre”, “Rap music and DJs”, as well as discussion groups on affectivity, “Love and sex” and on legality. and other initiatives proposed by the children themselves. The activities will be possible thanks to the financing of ATS Val Padana / Lombardy Region with the Asolo project “New street”.
In addition to opportunities for young people, demographically speaking, the Table has assessed as important the creation of meetings that include the new generations at 360°, therefore including all those “actors” who have an active and main part in the lives of boys and girls (parents , teachers, psycho-educational workers, coaches). From this consideration was born the idea of creating moments, spread across all 12 municipalities, aimed at the growth of specific educational skills for adults, through training and pedagogical in-depth events and discussion groups. In this sense, a first event has already been held, with the economic resources of the Alto Mantovano Family Center, on May 30th in Castel Goffredo inside the Council Hall of the municipality, in Piazza Mazzini. The meeting, which had the founding theme of “Bonds and educating community, between fragility and active hope” with Professor Antonietta De Vita and Doctor Cristina Bertazzoni, saw excellent feedback from the public present.
Everything is therefore ready for the next evening, scheduled for June 14th, starting from 8.30 pm and will take place inside the Civic Hall of Ceresara, located in Vicolo degli Orti. The theme, in this case, will instead be “Educating for the future: cultivating the ability to aspire in young people and adults” with Cristina Bertazzoni. The meeting is free, but registration is preferable.
