The summer season, now underway, will bring high temperatures and, with these, probable fires in many areas of the city. Just today we are reminded of this fact by a further fire that occurred in the early afternoon.
The PD council group asks the administration to know the administrative actions carried out against the owner of the land, the commissioner in charge of the composition with creditors of the company that was supposed to build the tourist port called “Marina di Archimede”. And in particular he asks whether the administration has issued orders for cleaning the land and clearing away waste.
It is increasingly urgent to map uncultivated land and constantly verify that the ordinances issued are respected and, if this is not the case, they are followed by the appropriate sanctions and the Municipality proceeds with the enforcement of damages, i.e. exercises the power, which it also has, to clean up the uncultivated land full of weeds, charging the costs of the intervention to the owners.
Today’s images bring us back into focus but we still have no official news from the Municipality on what is being released into the air and what behavior to adopt. We ask the Administration to intervene as soon as possible and in the shortest time possible, not only on this fire and not only on this land, but on all of them.
