The man was driving a tanker in the direction of Via Aurelia when, at the junction for Via della Pisana, he crashed into a car for reasons yet to be ascertained. The man practically died instantly. The firefighters rescued him and pulled him out of the cockpit, but there was nothing that could be done for the 54-year-old.
