The exes: Marco Baroni is the new coach of Lazio
Mister Marco Baroni, former Cremonese and Verona, was chosen by the Biancoceleste club as Igor Tudor’s replacement
The last month at home Lazio it wasn’t the best, between Lotito’s usual declarations, the resignation of Igor Tudor and the farewell of Luis Alberto in the direction of Al-Duhail. The first point from which to start again and on which to try to build next season is the choice of the new coach: the bench of the Biancoceleste club was entrusted to Marco Baroni. The Florentine coach, at Cremonese from June to October 2010 and from October 2019 to January 2020, is recognized for the splendid work carried out in that Verona. In fact, despite the financial problems that forced the company to sell a large part of the squad, the scaligeri they achieved safety a day early, beating Salernitana at the Arechi and reaching 38 points thanks to the subsequent draw against the Italian champions Inter. Baroni’s name, however, did not go down well with the Lazio fans, who expected a profile with a high-level CV.
