Two cars collided in Agrate Brianza (Monza and Brianza): a 67-year-old man was seriously injured in the impact. He died shortly after admission to hospital.

Yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 12 June, it occurred a road accident in Agrate Brianza, a municipality located in the province of Monza and Brianza. Two cars collided and on impact a 67-year-old man diedwhose identity is not known at the moment: the 118 health workers, the police and the firefighters intervened on site.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the collision occurred in via Lecco and precisely at 5.15pm. The two vehicles were proceeding in the sixth direction: one was driven by the 67-year-old and the other by a 48-year-old man. The first ended up against the vehicle of the 48-year-old who was stopped in the queue. The impact was very violent. Rescue services were immediately called: the operations center of the Lombardy regional emergency emergency agency (Areu) sent the 118 doctors and paramedics with two ambulances and a medical vehicle.

The 67-year-old was transferred under code red to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza where he died shortly afterwards. The 48-year-old however did not suffer serious injuries and did not require hospitalization. Local police officers intervened on site and carried out all the necessary investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the affair and ascertain any responsibilities: it is possible that the 67-year-old had fallen ill. In the next few hours we will be able to have a more precise picture of the entire affair.
