The Mayor of Rieti, Daniele Sinibaldi, together with the director of the Local Police, Sonia Salvi, met this morning with a large group of residents and traders from the areas affected by the works on the ANAS Macelletto/Tancia junction.
The Mayor listened to the concerns and needs of citizens and commercial operators, sharing with them the need to deepen the timetable of the works which concern, among other things, the demolition and reconstruction of the bridges over the Turano and Via Velinia.
According to the agreements formally made by ANAS in recent weeks, also at the monitoring table at the Prefecture of Rieti, the intervention should be completed by 31 December 2024.
Following the peaceful and fruitful meeting, the Mayor offered citizens and traders his willingness to organize, in a short time, a meeting with representatives of ANAS and the director of works to explore the details of the times and type of works that will be carried out implemented in the area in the coming months.
“For now, there have been no reports of slowdowns or delays on the roadmap – declares the Mayor – but the concerns of citizens and traders are legitimate. I asked ANAS for an urgent meeting to get details on the work schedule. If there are delays I will ask to reevaluate the partial opening. We confidently await ANAS’s responses to have precise and detailed evaluation elements.”
