Try Kawasaki today: a special day with the Z900RS and the Z7 Hybrid together with Enrico Bessolo [VIDEO] – Evidence

We spent a day together with Enrico Bessolo, General Manager of the Italian branch of Kawasaki. Riding two polar opposite motorcycles, the Z900RS and Z7 Hybrid, we went to Lake Como to tell you about the present and future of the Japanese giant

Kawasaki is in heart of all fans. A Japanese company outside the box, which has always put technological innovation, performance and construction quality at the top of its scale of corporate values.

Let’s think about the mythical ones three-cylinder two-stroke motorcycle in the 70s, at GPZ of the 80s, at Ninja and more recently to the phenomenal supercharged H2 and Z7 Hybrid.

The latter confirms Kawasaki’s pioneering role: it is the first hybrid motorcycle in the world. In cars, the combination of electric and petrol propulsion has been on the market for at least a quarter of a century, but it is only in recent years that it has become established, following ever-increasing restrictions on exhaust gases. Simplifying as much as possible, we know that the strong points are reduced consumption and increased driving comfort with the possibility of having brilliant performance with reduced cubic capacity. In other words, snappy and “clean” in the city, comfortable and exciting outside the city. The best of both worlds, in short.

The goal that Kawasaki has set itself is exactly the same: to build a motorcycle capable of offering a urban commuting with low consumption, entering zero emission areas, but at the same time without giving up the thrill of riding a real Kawasaki, or rather make us try something new. This is why the company presents the new Ninja 7 Hybrid as “three bikes in one”: daily commuter, weekend fun bike and silent zero emissions when necessary such as in residential areas or in car parks. Because yes, for short distances (in the order of 10 km) it can only move on electric power.

And Kawsaki’s past?

THEIts past is unforgettable and still remains today with a strong appeal to us motorcyclists. So much so that for our tour we asked Enrico to show off the wonderful Z900RS, the classic four-cylinder that has a scary sound (so much for Euro 5).

We left with the Italian manager of the Japanese manufacturer from the Kawasaki Italia headquarters in Lainate. We tell you the history of this place, but also the present and future of the company. Our tour allows us to get to know Enrico Bessolo better too. general manager of the House of Akashi. A great professional, but also and above all a true motorcycle enthusiast, who talks to us about his first two wheels and opens the window on the future of Kawasaki, which today, like yesterday, never ceases to amaze motorcyclists with fast and adrenaline-filled bikes: even the first hybrid motorbike is not the usual electric motor with zero emissions and zero emotions. No, it will consume very little, but it really excites you.
