Among the winners of the latest elections to the new European Parliament is the symbolic representative of the League of Salvinithat is, the general Roberto Vannacci, who has made headlines in the last year thanks to his controversial book “Il Mondo Al Contrario”. Vannacci attracted over five hundred thousand attendees and thus won a place in the European Parliament. On the contrary, however, the League suffered the defeat of its founder, Umberto Bossi, who clearly voted for Marco Reguzzoni, independent candidate of Forza Italia. So? And there is a heated clash between Elsa Fornero, former Minister of Labor and Social Policies, and Francesco Storace, former Minister of Health in the third Berlusconi government. These are Fornero’s words: “Never said I agreed with Bossi and no one sanctifies him, it is a question of respect for people and it seems to me that in the tradition of Salvini’s League, respect for people is in last place. There is the illusion that is systematically sold, the acrimony, the contempt and the hatred that is created, all this is in Salvini’s preaching, but the voters have noticed it. So much so that he had to resort to another who imitates him, Vannacci, in order to find votes. Can votes be gained by deceiving people? The things that Vannacci said are exactly contrary to the spirit of the constitution, in fact I no longer call him general because he has dishonored it.”

Storace doesn’t agree and responds in kind: “A Vannacci they voted for him, she has never received this thrill of voting. Look, 500 thousand votes are a lot, you never got them. But who are you the judge of others? Salvini is like this, Vannacci is like this, now who else? If you think about what you have done, in the meantime we no longer call you minister, fortunately and it is already an advantage for Italy”.
