The Florence 2024 elections took place between yesterday, Saturday 8 June, and today, Sunday 9 June 2024. At 11pm today the polls closed and the first exit polls are already available. Yesterday and today we voted to elect the mayor of Florence. You could vote until 11pm this evening and, just after the polls closed, the exit polls, provided by the consortium, were released Opinion Italy. The latest available survey, carried out by Bidimedia, put Sara Funaro ahead with 41.5% and Eike Schmidt 11 points behind, at 30.5%. In the event of a run-off, those who responded to the poll would have rewarded Funaro again, estimated at 59% against Schmidt’s 41%.

The partial turnout figure published at 11pm was 65%. The exit polls have already arrived, but for the first projections on the definitive results we will have to wait until tomorrow. In fact, the counting of votes will first focus on the ballot papers for the European elections. Only then will we move on to the municipal votes. The counting will begin around 2pm on Monday 10 June. About an hour later, at 3pm, the first vote projections should arrive.
