The arrival of the money from Rome

Faced with the impossibility of having liquidity, Giani agreed on the strategy to get out of the impasse, requesting the advance of the funds from the Bank of Italy with the approval of the Mef.
A few days ago the turning point: the funds arrived in the coffers of the Region and the offices are working to set up the procedures for the provision of compensation to all those who have suffered damage from the flood and are entitled to it: up to 5 thousand euros for flooded families and up to 20 thousand euros for businesses .
The 10,000 “flood” people who are waiting
By mid-July the Region should be able to “give an initial response to around 10 thousand people who have suffered damage from the flood”, underlining that the recognition of the damage for the distribution of the 25 million has also served to identify the people who have suffered damage: now we can therefore speed up the procedure for disbursing the national fund that arrived in recent days.
“For those 6437 applications without problems we will begin with the liquidation shortly – closed the governor – and probably, given that it is an advance, in a first phase 2500 euros will be paid, a contribution that can be cumulated with that of the three thousand of the Region”.
The compensation already paid to the families
Finally, it should be remembered that almost 17 million have already been paid to 6,437 families, while 958 requests for a total of 2 million and 874 thousand euros are being paid due to the need to complete the applications, resources that will arrive within on June 15th. A further 1123 applications remain to be completed, while for 853 requests the Region was unable to provide the contribution because the beneficiary’s IBAN was missing.
