Four hours stuck on a Frecciarossa train, along the Venice-Milan line, near Brescia, due to a technical fault which also caused the interruption of electricity on the train. Enormous inconvenience for passengers who remained until late at night without air conditioning and without electricity. Around midnight the travelers were transferred to another convoy. Trenitalia announced that it had immediately activated the rescue intervention, providing assistance to passengers, both on board during the stop and at Milan Central Station.
Passengers’ stories
The train left Venice at 5pm yesterday but shortly after 7pm, having passed the Brescia station, it stopped at Casirate d’Adda. It was very hot in the carriages and many passengers felt very uncomfortable. “We have been in the dark ever since, without air conditioning and the heat is getting worse and worse”, said a passenger. “They gave us water and snacks, but we can’t get off the train or open the doors to let some air in,” another told Tgr Lombardia.
