Fantic expands the Caballero range: at Eicma 2022 the Italian manufacturer presents the model that represents the top of the range of the family, the Caballero 700. There are therefore three steps of displacement (and power) in the scrambler segment: now it uses an engine twin cylinder (this is the main novelty) and joins the younger sisters 125 and 500, the first can be driven with an A1 license at 16 and the second with an A2 license at 18. Due to its 75 hp power, Caballero 700 can only be driven with an A license.

Fantic Caballero 700: the engine

Present, past and now also a tantalizing future with Caballero, an iconic name that embraces, for the first time, a twin-cylinder engine. Caballero 700 is a true scrambler, which boasts the performance of a medium-large displacement motorcycle: driving pleasure, power, but also safety and technology. Equipped with the twin-cylinder engine (Euro 5 homologation, liquid-cooled, 689 cc with 75 Hp power, 68 Nm of maximum torque and 4-valve twin-shaft distribution), Caballero 700 is also equipped with updated electronics thanks to the Tft screen from 3.5 ”with Bluetooth connectivity, 3 riding modes (road, off-road and custom) as well as the headlight unit and full LED direction indicators.

Fantic Caballero 700: safety and cycling

Caballero 700 also stands out for active safety with the debut of traction control and Abs Cornering, an evolution of the system capable of reading the inclination of the motorcycle in real time, adjusting the response of the braking system, thus avoiding falls for closing of the front end. The frame is a monorail in chromium molybdenum steel and the swingarm in aluminum, while the suspensions are Marzocchi with 45 mm Vrm fork. 19 “front and 17” rear wheels and braking system with radial Brembo caliper and 330 mm diameter floating disc at the front and 245 mm at the rear. A weight of only 180 kg makes it very agile and light, but also has good autonomy with a 14-liter tank. Proposed in two captivating colors, Pure Red and Heritage Blue, Caballero 700 will be available on the market starting from April 2023 at an indicative price of 10,000 euros.
