CARONNO PERTUSELLA – RoCaronno Volleyball team in the play-offs: last night at home – penultimate match of the men’s Serie B championship – against Zephir of La Spezia, one point would have been enough to have mathematical certainty but the yellow-blues took three.
A match that on paper shouldn’t have caused problems for Piccinini and his teammates and so it was, coach Claudio Gervasoni took advantage of it to revolutionize the starting sextet and thus give playing time to those who played less. The Caronnese win the first set in total control but the La Spezia team on the other hand never give up and win the second set thanks to excellent reception and defence, but then Caronno returns to the match dictating his usual pace, winning the third and fourth set. Now Caronno awaits one last match of the regular season, then the playoffs.
