Montereale, Gualtiero Belgrado dies after a motorbike crash a few meters from home. «He adored his daughters Melissa and Sofia»

MONTEREALE – The community of San Leonardo di Montereale Valcellina is mourning the tragic death of Gualtiero Belgradoaged 55, died last night in a road accident occurred around 7.30pm less than half a kilometer from his home. The man, well known in the village for his profession as a well-regarded plumber, was riding his motorcycle when the two-wheeler collided with a small car. The Carabinieri of the Meduno station, who intervened to carry out legal investigations, will establish the causes of the incident.

WHAT HAPPENED

From a summary reconstruction it would have emerged that the vehicles collided perhaps due to a lack of right of way. The impact was very violent. The centaur – who apparently was returning home – he was thrown tens of meters away, in a field on the side of the road near an orchard. Emergency services were called immediately, first by the motorist – who was slightly injured – and by other passers-by. The firefighters of the Maniago detachment promptly brought the medical car and an ambulance to the scene. Despite the efforts of the health workers, for Gualtiero Belgrado there was nothing that could be done: the injuries sustained in the collision and in the subsequent tragic flight onto the pavement were fatal. The rescuers had nothing left to do but declare the death by requesting the intervention of the medical examiner.

THE MOURNING

The prosecutor on duty at the Pordenone Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed of the accident and granted permission for the removal of the body. Only today will he decide whether to proceed with the autopsy. «Gualtiero was a nice person – his fellow villagers said -: in the past he had also helped out in some associations. You could see him above all, a few years ago, when the nativity scene was being set up in the local parish. He leaves us a good person and a hard worker. He was highly regarded in his profession as a plumber and adored his girls who had given him great satisfaction in their academic careers.” Gualtiero Belgrado leaves his daughters Melissa and Sofia in pain. The regional road 251, in the variant that leads from San Martino di Campagna to Maniago, after crossing the old Giulio bridge and crossing the entire town center of San Leonardo Valcellina, remained closed to traffic for approximately two hours to allow the completion of the surveys. Many fellow citizens learned of the misfortune upon returning home: access to the town was banned in both directions.
