Dramatic road accident, today 7 June shortly after 3pm, in Santa Cecilia, in the municipality of Eboli. I am three people lost their lives due to the head-on collision between two cars that occurred along state road 18. These are three elderly people. After 5.30 pm it was learned that they are a couple over eighty from Boscotrecase, in the province of Naples, and an eighty year old from Foggia. The emergency services they have on site attempted to resuscitate the victims, uselessly. The firefighters intervened to free the victims who were got stuck between the sheets of metal.
Collision between an Opel and a Fiat Panda
The stretch where the accident occurred, near the Cilento Outlet, or at kilometer 85.00 of state road 18, is unfortunately not new to this type of tragedy. There are notable inconveniences to traffic: the road runs on a single lane (traffic is entrusted to Anas personnel and the police on site) and the repercussions to traffic have occurred as far as the coastal road that leads from Eboli to Paestum and Agropoli, particularly busy in these days of the first summer exodus towards the tourist resorts of the Cilento coast. There were clashes an Opel Astra and a Fiat Panda.
