United we can, the centre-left of San Godenzo, closed the electoral campaign in San Godenzo last night and tonight it will be Castagno d’Andrea’s turn.
“Last night, Thursday 6 June, we closed the electoral campaign in San Godenzo: I am happy with the evening and I thank all the participants. I had to close in the capital one evening earlier, as I declared, due to the lack of availability of the other area, generally used from one of the two lists for closure, as happened both five and ten years ago. This year it was not possible.
I wanted to start by responding to the latest posts circulating, as I had already declared on social media that I would do, regarding the missed comparison with the other candidate. The journalist who was supposed to moderate the evening was unable to be present, but he sent a very clear message which I read. In this way, it was clear to everyone that my post was not contradictory to anything, nor misleading, nor baseless. Everyone is free to read or not read the messages they receive, to respond or not respond to messages and phone calls… Once again it is about communication management and the personal choice of how to manage it. I replied to Galli immediately, as he confirmed! I then wanted to underline my personal opinion, namely that I consider the confrontation an ACT OF RESPECT for the population and a CHOICE OF DEMOCRACY. In this case, a missed opportunity to openly confront those who are going to vote.
We continue to proceed, as always, WITH AN OPEN FACE AND HEAD HIGH. We began the electoral campaign by presenting the list and the program, in serenity and tranquility. That’s what we wanted and this was widely recognized. When we started to have our say, highlighting the differences and disseminating some public information, there were some “distorted” reactions and I immediately wanted to clarify personally with candidate Piani, in a peaceful and transparent way. We have always carried forward our program and our values.
Sometimes words not said, actions not done, have been attributed to me, which I have had the opportunity to respond to in public situations. I don’t like controversies and I haven’t made any, but I think clarity is important. We can contest ideas but we don’t change the cards on the table.
I wanted to retrace the electoral campaign: what we did, how we did it, our thoughts and our emotions; and the desire to carry out a peaceful campaign to the end, yes, but with strong determination.
I also want to publicly thank each member of the list who, despite not knowing me very well initially, gave me their full trust by running alongside me and I thanked them because with their availability they also demonstrated a great desire to get involved for the change.
Today, Friday 7 June, at 9.00 pm at the Enrica Rainetti Cultural Center – Ex Cinema, we are closing the electoral campaign in Castagno d’Andrea and I invite everyone to participate. I will also make my considerations this evening.
I am happy and satisfied with how we conducted the electoral campaign and we will continue until this evening, until the last minute, with the serenity and determination that have characterized us.
Now all I have to do is invite everyone to go and vote and I invite you to choose List no. 2 United we can – Center-left San Godenzo and the sustainable candidate Luana Collacchioni, for a transparent and engaging future. Happy voting everyone!”
