(Sixth Power) – Cesena – 7 June – Un intervention already started along the Wisein the hamlet of Sant’Andrea in Bagnolo, in the Cesena areawhich anticipates a summer of work with the opening of two new construction sites on the banks and in the riverbed.

With a total investment of approx 3 million 100 thousand euros works continue for the safety of the watercourse, which flows through the Romagna area, with operations to clear vegetation, increase the section of the river to facilitate the passage of the current and adapt the size of the banks.

The works, in detail

In Sant’Andrea in Bagnolo the works consist of removal of vegetation in the riverbed and in the selective cutting of that capable of causing hydraulic problems.
The surgery costs approximately 180 thousand eurosis part of the overall funding of 500 thousand euros, allocated by the Region and foreseen in the intervention plan, for the extraordinary maintenance of the waterways of the Cesena area in the two-year period 2024-25.

A. is also planned for the summer intervention entirely dedicated to vegetation management in the Savio riverbed, for an amount of 1 million 600 thousand euroswhich will mainly affect the capital municipality.

In the same period, again in Cesena, with an investment of one 1 million 300 thousand euros will also start worksite For the increase in the flow section del Savio in the city section, from downstream of the Ponte della Ferrovia to the locality of I Maceri.

The works involve both the removal of deposits present on the river banks and the functional adaptation of the top levels of the banks to the flood profile observed in May last year.

Both interventions are financed by the extraordinary commissioner for reconstruction under ordinance no. 8/2023.
