07.06.2024 – 09.00 – Monfalcone through the eyes of children: born like this “Panzano yesterday and today: an ebook to tell”. A project that involved the fifth classes of the Cuzzi primary school of the Randaccio Comprehensive Institute in the creation of a digital product to narrate the territory.
Between pastel colors and stories from their grandparents, the young students told the story workers’ district of Monfalcone: a trip took them to discover Panzano, from the workers’ hotel to the managers’ villas, up to the tracks and the workers’ neighborhoods.

Every “little piece” of the neighborhood is colourful, becoming almost dreamlike, through the imaginative gaze of the children: the “lively” employee hotel is tinged with pink, blue and purple, the rails come alive with soap bubbles and geometric designsL’Panzano entrance is revisited in a “futuristic” key.

A second part of the book is dedicated to grandparents’ storiesfrom the stories of Mrs. Elena, who talks about Panzano 60 years ago, to those of Mr. Sergio, a former worker on the construction site, up to Mrs. Livia who, with a “light voice”, told about her father and again Mr. Giorgio, who excitedly he explained to the children how the giants of the sea work.

“A project – the words of the mayor, Anna Maria Cisint – That introduces the little ones to the history and roots of this areaalso giving us adults a new look at such an identifying area of Monfalcone”.

“A book that moved me – echoes thecouncilor Tiziana Maioretto – we thank the teachers, the municipal offices and all those who told the younger generations what Panzano was like and what it meant to work on the construction site”.

The ebook will be published on the website of the Monfalcone Shipbuilding Museum and can already be viewed for free at the link https://mobile3d.it/test_ebook

The classes also had the opportunity to visit the Shipbuilding and Fincantieri Museum.

The project falls within the guidelines provided by the Territorial Training Teams which promote training actions for teaching staff on digital teaching and to enhance the digital skills of students in support of the measures of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for educational institutions.
