As part of the restoration work on the roads damaged by the floods of May 2023, the Faenza municipal administration has recently approved a series of works within the ‘Project for safety interventions on the valley side of the Forese road system’. Costing 1 million and 250 thousand euros financed by the commissioner structure, the interventions concern the safety of via San Vincenzo, via San Domenico di Cesato, via del Fiume, via Palazzone, via Zannona, via Ponte San Giorgio, via Fabbrerie, via Podestà, via Argine Montone, via Canova, via Parlanta and via Viazza. The interventions involve milling the old wearing surface, particularly in the joints of the asphalt in the center of the road to avoid the creation of bumps. The new asphalt layer will then be built.

The first scheduled intervention will start today in Via Viazza, from 12pm to 5pm, and will then end on Monday 10th from 6am to 5pm. From Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th the works will continue, again from 6am to 5pm, in Via Ponte San Giorgio, Zannona and Podestà.

The asphalt will also be redone in viale Marconi (in the stretch between Stradello dell’Osservanza and the ring road bridge) and in via Firenze (up to the Passatore roundabout), with changes to the road system from Sunday 9th to Saturday 15th June with night closures from 8pm to 7am. On Sunday the intervention will begin at 11pm so as not to create inconvenience during the electoral round.

The works will continue, from Wednesday 12th to Friday 15th June, in the stretch of via Firenze between the Orto Bertoni intersection and the Passatore roundabout.
