Siena, 7 June 2024 – An accident terrible. Two women lost their lives on 17 June 2022 on the A1, in the stretch between Fabro and Chiusi, municipality of Cetona. They were going to Chianciano Terme to follow a qualification course for volleyball coaches. The two friends never reached their destination, losing their lives in a chain collision which unleashed hell on the A1. Serena Ursillo he was 37 years old and lived in the province of Terni, Enrica Macci, 49 years old, was a former volleyball player, lived in Montefranco. Three other people were seriously injured. Yesterday the preliminary hearing took place in court before the Gup Sonia Caravelli for the truck driver driving the truck. He is a 44-year-old of Tunisian origins but resident in Caltagirone, in the Catania area. The man was accused of road homicide. The investigation was conducted by prosecutor Niccolò Ludiovici who had entrusted the reconstruction of the complex dynamics of that hell to Mario Vangi who also dealt with the Zanardi case.
