Simone Borgese arrested for raping a taxi driver in 2015

In Rome, 39-year-old Simonne Borgese was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault against a student, the attack apparently occurred on May 8th. The man had already been arrested in the past for raping a taxi driver who was accompanying him, in 2015.

The young woman was near the bus stop in Via della Magliana, after a few minutes a car with a man on board approached her and asked her for directions.

Showing his completely empty cell phone, therefore unable to open the maps, the man had opened the car door inviting the girl to get in and accompany him. At that point the advances began.

The young woman was then forced to suffer violence in an isolated area. The suspect then returned her smartphone to the girl, accompanying her back near Villa Bonelli. The investigators, on the basis of the information and descriptions provided by the victim, carried out an intense investigation during which they also viewed the images of the city video surveillance system present on the route taken by the man.

During the complaint, the police then showed her a photo album depicting the images of some subjects resembling the one later recognized as the perpetrator of the crime of which she was the victim. The officers thus tracked down and identified the man, a 39-year-old Roman, for whom the judicial authority ordered the application measure of precautionary custody in prison.
