Hence the decision to set fire to the house to pocket the insurance money by placing gas cylinders and barring the exit door of the laundry room located on the ground floor, right where the two victims used to sleep.
According to what has been reconstructed, the two died while looking for a way out to escape the flames. The 72-year-old was on trial for double premeditated murder and insurance fraud. The Court of Appeal had awarded her a provisional amount of 150 thousand euros while 100 thousand will go to her son, Fiorella’s nephew.
