Yesterday Sony Pictures released the long-awaited trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, third chapter based on the Marvel character. This is the last film dedicated to him within Sony’s Spider-Man universe. After Eddie Brock’s acquaintance with the symbiote in the 2018 film, the character returned in Carnage’s Fury.
In The Last Dance, Tom Hardy takes over the role of Eddie Brock/Venom, one of the most complex characters in the universe created by Marvel. The final film of the trilogy shows Eddie and Venom on the run and hunted by the world of humans and symbiote aliens. The decision they will make will definitively close the doors to the narrative linked to the alien villain. Venom 3 will perhaps be the end of the Sony Universe at the cinema.
On Space Oddity notes by David Bowie, the trailer shows Brock/Venom chased by a large group of soldiers led by Chiwetel Ejiofor. Juno Temple’s character, Dr. Payne, reminds the soldier that the presence of other living beings in the universe must be kept secret. The video also shows San Francisco detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham) and the arrival on Earth of an alien race ready to invade the planet.
