Ariccia, the Pesoli Giulio Agricultural Company Gold Medal at the 63rd Pramaggiore 2024 Wine Competition, in Venice

L’Pesoli Giulio Agricultural Company, an excellence in the winemaking tradition of the Castelli Romani, based in Ariccia, triumphed at the prestigious 63rd Pramaggiore Wine Competition 2024held on the morning of Monday 3 June at the renowned La Fenice Theater in Venice. The historic Ariccia company, located in via Appia Antica 100, has won the Gold Medal, an award that rewards the dedication, passion and excellence of its wines.

The Pesoli family proudly presented a selection of wines that have conquered the palates of experts. Among these, the Lazio IGT Rosso “Emblema” 2023, the Lazio IGT Rosso “Liberty” 2023, the Lazio IGT Petit Verdot 2019, the Lazio IGT Bianco “Hybris” 2022, the Lazio IGT Syrah 2020, the Lazio IGT Rosato “Boemien” 2023, the Lazio IGT Bianco “Fascinus” 2023 and the Lazio IGT Vermentino 2023. These wines, the result of a careful selection of grapes and a meticulous winemaking process, represent the soul and winemaking tradition of the area.

The awards ceremony, which took place at 11 in the morning at the famous Venetian theatre, saw the emotional participation of the family of late Giulio Pesoli. Giulio, founder of the company and a leading figure in the world of local oenology, passed away prematurely at just 56 years old, leaving a precious legacy that his wife Olivia Middei and children, including Lucio Flavio Pesoli, they are carrying on with great commitment and passion.

Known for his dedication to work and his love for the land, Giulio was a person loved and respected by all. His humanity and generous spirit made him a point of reference, not only for the farm but also for many local charitable initiatives. Success at Pramaggiore Wine Competition 2024 it therefore represents the best possible tribute to Giulio’s memory and a recognition of the tireless work of the Pesoli family, who continues to honor his vision and values. At the same time the company also won the Regional Bacco Award, awarded to those who received the greatest number of IGT wines awarded for their region.
