The Lazio transfer market is starting to heat up in view of next summer, and among the monitored profiles that of a Lille attacking midfielder stands out. According to what was reported by Corriere dello Sport, with his contract expiring on 30 June with the French club, he is back in the Biancocelesti’s sights.
A Long-standing Interest
For Lazio, the interest in Yusuf Yazici is nothing new. Already in 2019, when the player played for Trabzonspor, the Roman club had shown interest in him. At the time, however, the deal did not go through. Now, with Yazici free to sign on a free transfer, Lazio could finally make this old wish come true.

The Profile Tudor Likes
Igor Tudor greatly appreciates Yazici’s qualities and if he decides to stay in Rome, he will ask Lotito. The attacking midfielder is seen as an element who could add creativity and unpredictability to the Biancoceleste midfield after Kamada’s departure. His technical skills and game vision make him an ideal candidate to strengthen the Lazio squad next season.
Milan’s competition
Despite Lazio’s interest, the road to Yazici will not be easy. Milan, with Paulo Fonseca as their new coach, are strongly interested in the player. Fonseca has already coached Yazici at Lille and has indicated him as a possible reinforcement for the Rossoneri. Competition from Milan could complicate Lazio’s plans, making the negotiation more difficult.
