Three more road victims in two different accidents which occurred in the Grosseto area and in Venice. Two people died, aged 38 and 18, in the accident which occurred in Scansano, along provincial road 159for a collision between two motorbikes.
A 20-year-old young man from Campolongo Maggiore (Venice) lost his life after running off the road with his Vespa and hitting a public street lamp. The Suem intervened on the spot but he could not help but confirm the death of the young man due to the serious injuries sustained. From the findings it would be an independent road exit. The boy, Daniele Coccato, was well known in the area precisely for his passion for the historic vehicle with which he participated in Vespa club rallies. He worked in the family business in the shoe factories of the Brenta Riviera.
Other serious accident, fortunately not fatal, occurred during the night between Cagliari and Quartu. A 19-year-old boy was driving along the Poetto seafront when, for reasons yet to be ascertained, he lost control of the car. The vehicle hit a traffic light and overturned. The firefighters had to intervene to extract the young man from the cockpit and hand him over to the 118 rescuers who transported him to the Brotzu hospital.
