Carpets and floral paintings, created along the main streets and squares of Spello, pay homage to the Corpus Domini procession
Spello today is experiencing another of its most beautiful and historical periods, capable like few fantastic events of attracting a sea of visitors and tourists from all over the world.
This year the Spello Infiorata will be held on 1 and 2 June, and as always it will be followed by a series of other highly attractive cultural events, such as concerts, art exhibitions and theatrical performances.
Every year, during the Corpus Domini festival, Spello transforms into a village of colors and scents. An ancient tradition dating back to the 18th century, which has a religious root which consists in the creation of floral designs on the asphalt of the city’s main streets.
The flowers are carefully arranged to form geometric patterns or religious representations.

And on this occasion the inhabitants of Spello also organize a religious procession, accompanied by traditional music and dances.
