The Moto3 world championship has reached the Italian Grand Prix, which was held at Mugello, where the winner’s name is always the same. The third victory in a row arrived for a monstrous David Alonso, the fifth out of seven seasonal events, which marks his definitive escape in the rankings. The Spaniard didn’t walk as one might have thought, given that Collin Veijer he arrived in his wake, coming close to overtaking him at the finish line. The Japanese took advantage of the crash at Correntaio on the last lap Ivan Ortola, who restarted finishing sixth. Terrible accident between Filippo Farioli and Xabi Surutuza, which they took at Arrabbiata 2 causing the red flag. Moto3 qualifying saw David Alonso dictate the law, with a different pace compared to the others that had been seen since the free practice and which then materialized even in the most important moment. Next to her he snaps Ivan Ortolawith José Antonio Rueda which completes the first row. Alonso’s shot is perfect and he immediately manages to get aheadwhile behind him, between contacts and skirmishes, his rivals are losing ground.

Surprisingly, Ortolà seems to be able to keep up with the pace of the pacesetter, who also risks going to the ground due to a violent slam. Very bad accident at Arrabbiata 2, which causes a red flag. The contact sees our protagonists Filippo Farioliwho gets up immediately, and Xabi Surutuza, which instead remains on the ground. The latter, after a few minutes of apprehension, is also declared conscious.

Surutuza is transported away in an ambulance, and taken to the medical center. At the restart, still a scare, with a contact between Stefano Nepa and Rueda, which fly out at the Arrabbiata curve. On the second way it is Taiyo Furusato who takes command, but then Collin Veijer he responds and starts leading the Moto3 Italian GP.

The leading group remains compact, with Alonso who then takes back the lead by hunting for yet another victory, and in the last 5 laps he starts his breakaway. Veijer tries in the last two laps, also setting the lap record on the penultimate lap. Ortola slips on the last lap, losing the podium, while Alonso goes on to win and break away in the world championship. Next meeting in Assen on June 30th.
