Medicine, Siena wins the ‘Champions League’ of specialization schools

Great satisfaction for the specialization school in anaesthesia, resuscitation, intensive and pain therapy at the University of Siena, directed by Professor Sabino Scolletta, head of the Department of Emergency-urgency and anesthesia and of the resuscitation structure Dea, trauma and insufficiencies organ of the Sienese university hospital company.

The specialist doctors Luca Gargiulo, Alessandro Lamendola, Francesca Silva and Lorenzo Sorelli, coordinated by Professor Federico Franchi, director of Anesthesia and cardio-thoracic-vascular resuscitation, won the 2024 Champions League advanced simulation, as part of the 35th Smart meeting anesthesia resuscitation intensive care, which took place in Milan.

The specialization schools in Anesthesia-resuscitation of Bologna, Novara, Ancona, Milan/Monza, Monza, Turin and Brescia also participated in the championship and the school of Siena reached the final with that of Milan belonging to the Asst Grande metropolitan hospital Niguarda and he won.
