The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, signed, on 31 May, the decree with which, on the proposal of the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Senator Adolfo Urso, 25 Knights of Labor were appointed.

Among these there is also someone from Modena: Caterina Caselli, singer and music producer whose career certainly needs no introduction

This is the artist’s presentation which motivates her recognition: “She is the CEO of Sugar Music, an Italian record label and music publishing house she founded in 1989. The company has created the recording projects of numerous interpreters of contemporary Italian music including Avion Travel, Paolo Conte, Elisa, Ligabue and Gianna Nannini In 2011 it consolidated its presence in the sector with the acquisition of Edizioni CAM, one of the main catalogs specializing in music for cinema with soundtracks by Nino Rota, Fiorenzo Carpi, Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov and Philippe Sarde. Today Sugar owns a repertoire of 80,000 musical works and manages a catalog of 2,000 soundtracks. It employs around 40 people.
