Immediately spectacle and chaos at the Monaco Grand Prix. The race started with a twist already on the first lap, forcing the race commissioners to display the red flag for a scary accident involving the Red Bull of Sergio Perez and the two Haas of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg.

Charles Leclerc, who started in pole position, took the lead and preceded Oscar Piastri vhe managed to resist to Carlos Sainz’s attack. However, luck was not on the Spaniard’s side: Sainz punctured a tire after contact with the McLaren driver, forcing him to stop immediately after the first corner and relegating him to sixteenth place in the provisional standings. While Sainz stopped, chaos broke out in the rear. Dane Kevin Magnussen, already known for numerous misconducts in the past, touched Perez, causing him to lose control of his Red Bull. The accident also involved Nico Hulkenberg, with both Haas and Perez’s Red Bull severely damaged. Luckily, all the drivers escaped their cars unharmed.

The images of the wreckage of Perez’s Red Bull were scary, with the Mexican’s car completely destroyed. Despite the severity of the crash, Perez walked out, reassuring everyone of his physical condition. Hulkenberg and Magnussen were also unharmed, but the accident forced the stewards to immediately stop the race. The Spaniard Carlos Sainz, after the contact with Piastri, slipped to the bottom of the ranking and is currently in sixteenth position. A hard blow for the Ferrari driver who had shown a good pace in qualifying and in the early stages of the race. To make matters worse, Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon also collided with each other, further increasing the chaos in the rear. This internal team incident adds a further layer of tension to the race, already complicated by the difficult conditions of the Monte Carlo street circuit.

After removing the debris and checking the safety conditions of the track, the race will resume with a new standing start. The race direction has announced that the new start will take place in the same order as the qualifying. It remains to be seen whether Charles Leclerc will be able to keep his leadhe race and whether Carlos Sainz can make up ground after his unfortunate start.
