Tragedy in the Brescia area on the road that connects Comezzano-Cizzago to Cossirano, a hamlet of Trenzano. Matilda Agnesia young 18 year old, lost her life in a car accident while she was driving her scooter, a Benelli 125, recently received as a birthday present.

The accident occurred around 8pm. Matilda was returning home, to Trenzano, when, negotiating a slight bend near the intersection with Via Barussa, she lost control of the vehicle. The precise dynamics of the accident are still to be clarified, but it is known that the young woman ended up off the road, falling disastrously into a field adjacent to the provincial road. The first to provide assistance were a man and a woman who, passing by by car, noticed the scooter on the asphalt. They immediately called for help and attempted to resuscitate the girl. Unfortunately, despite rapid intervention and resuscitation attempts, Matilda never recovered. The Chiari Fire Brigade, an ambulance from Trenzano and an air ambulance arrived on the scene, but there was nothing that could be done for the young woman.

Matilde Agnesi, the pain of those who knew her

The local community was deeply affected by the news. Matilda lived with her family in Trenzano, where her father is a well-known restaurateur. The road was closed for several hours to allow the rescue operations and investigations necessary to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. The Traffic Police has the task of clarifying the causes that led to the loss of control of the vehicle.

The accident shocked friends and family, who went to the scene as soon as they heard the news, visibly destroyed by grief. The loss of such a young life has left an unfillable void in the community of Trenzano and in the hearts of those who knew Matilda.
