In Acilia, Lazio Nuoto narrowly loses game 2 of the playoff semi-final against Florentia 6-5 and has to say goodbye to the dream of promotion. The Biancocelesti leave the pool to applause. Dominici: “We played great and we will continue to grow.” Bucan: “We gave our best, proud of the team”
Acilia (Rome) – Lazio Nuoto’s dream of climbing to the A1 series is interrupted. After a balanced and hard-fought match, i Biancocelesti surrender 6-5 to Florentia in game 2 of the semi-final and conclude the season.
In the swimming pool Le Cupole di Acilia sports center Lazio always chases and in the third half they find the goal to make it 4-4 with Giacomone. The reaction of the Tuscans was decisive as they scored two goals in a few seconds with Sordini and Di Fulvio and took the lead 6-4.
In the last half for Lazio they shorten Bucan, they try but Florentia resists. Minetti’s team goes to the final. At the end of the match the crowd applauded Daniele Ruffelli’s team, who emerged from the playoffs with their heads held high.
THEThe Lazio Nuoto player, Fabrizio Dominici: “Access to the playoffs gave us a lot of experience and made us understand that we must not repeat certain mistakes made in the championship. Today we showed that we are not the same as game 1 in Florence, we played great, fought until the end and we will continue to grow: we just need to have more confidence in ourselves.”
The Lazio Nuoto player, Nikola Bucan: “I congratulate the team and coach. It was a very complicated match. Florentia is a team with a lot of experience and with players who have played in the A1 series. We gave our best: I am very proud and happy to be part of Lazio.”.
