Below are the statements released: “Yesterday’s two tremors scared us, the whole city felt them with fear. We have been living with bradyseism for years now, we should get used to it like the Japanese, but unfortunately we are always careful. The Mayor has reassured everyone, so there is no need to be alarmist now. The city’s facilities are all in good condition, including the Maradona. Everything is under control. I spoke to those in charge of structural checks inside the stadium, no problems emerged upon initial visual inspection. The seismic event can also create less obvious problems, but the Maradona is continuously monitored and preserved with regular maintenance. The safety of fans and those who use the stadium comes first. There will be no closure of sectors or any restrictions for safety reasons against Lecce“.
