Inclusive tourism on board a cycle rickshaw
The SafesPro project won the Orizzonti Solidali tender promoted by the Megamark foundation
THURSDAY 30 MAY 2024 AT 10:00 AM, in Taranto, via Anfiteatro 5, near the prefecture, the inauguration ceremony of the Giri in Giro service will be held, in the presence of the councilor for Social Services Dr. Gabriella Ficocelli.
The “Giri in Giro” project, winner of the “Orizzonti Solidali” 2023/2024 competition, promoted by the MegamarK Foundation, proposed by SafesPro (School of Higher Education and Specialized Studies for Professionals), created with the support and partnership of LWBProiect srl and Stella Marina APS avails itself of the patronage of the Municipality of Taranto, department of social services.
The objective of the project is to promote inclusive mobility through tourist walks (using “cycle-rickshaws”) for the city of Taranto.

There are three locations available at the moment: Piazzale Democrito (near the former Gambero), via Anfiteatro 5 (near the prefecture), via Giovinazzi on the corner of Piazza Kennedy (near Villa Peripato).
The project is being extended to the other municipalities of the Ionian province, subject to agreements with the respective administrations.
