ENERGY COMMUNITIES FOR THE PRODUCTION WORLD ILLUSTRATED IN A MEETING ORGANIZED BY CNA – Energy from renewable sources, self-production, reduction of emissions, sustainability and technological innovation. These are the main themes that characterized the meeting entitled “Transition 5.0 and energy communities: what prospects and possible benefits?”, organized by Cna Piacenza in collaboration with Iren.

A meeting introduced by the Director of the Piacenza trade association, Enrica Gambazza, and which saw the engineer Stefano Ricciardi (“Energy communities: new mechanisms for using energy”) alternating at the speakers’ table, the lawyer. Silvia Romanini (“Le Cer and their articles of association: possible typologies and qualifications”), Dr. Barbara Villaggi (“The transition plan 5.0: benefits and investment possibilities”), Dr. Silvia Silano and Dr. Emanuela Guarino (“Energy for our businesses: photovoltaic, energy communities and other self-consumption configurations”).
“Energy communities – highlighted Ricciardi – represent an excellent form of investment for the productive world because they provide environmental, economic and social benefits to their members through the self-consumption of renewable energy, with the possibility of feeding energy into the grid. energy surpluses. The legislation provides operating and capital incentives with premium tariffs, but only for newly built plants with a maximum power of 1 MW”.
Incentives and tax breaks for newly built plants with the constraint of establishing the energy community, as specified by the lawyer. Romanini, in one of the legal forms envisaged by the current legislation: associations, participation foundations, for-profit company or cooperative company not with prevalent mutuality.
Energy and economic savings from a green perspective, therefore, but also the orientation to innovate and modernize production processes to reduce energy consumption. “The Transition Plan 5.0 provides for this – specified Barbara Villaggi – with overall national contributions of 6.4 billion euros. The measure supports the transition of production processes to an efficient, sustainable and renewable energy-based energy model. Companies that invest in digital activities, self-production of energy from renewable sources and staff training can benefit from a tax credit linked to the reduction of final energy consumption or energy savings in processes thanks to investments in digital activities. The Emilia Romagna Region also has a special Energy Fund reserved for companies that cannot take advantage of the 5.0 transition plan”.
The meeting concluded with the presentation – by Silvia Silano and Emanuela Guarino – of some case histories and the format used by Iren for the conception, design and creation of energy communities.
