ASCOLI PICENO – “The territory is the heart of our social life, the source of our common goods, food, health and economy. In recent decades, the relationship with it has been characterized by exploitation and degradation, in favor of a non-regenerative and non-inclusive economy. It’s time for a change. We imagine a sustainable economy that respects the territory, transforming critical issues into resources for development that benefits everyone”:
Thus the candidate for mayor of Ascoli, Emidio Nardini, in a note sent to the editorial office on 17 May, he announces that a meeting with citizens will take place on Saturday 18 May, from 5pm at the Polo Culturale Sant’Agostino. The meeting is centered on working tables to discuss and develop ideas on how to live and manage our territory: identify together the critical issues, opportunities and protections.
“We will do it as informed people, retracing the precious contributions that emerged from previous meetings on topics such as waste, agriculture, participation, and this time too we will have high-level experts such as Paolo Berdini (former Urban Planning Councilor of the Municipality of Rome) and Professor Carlo di Marco , which will help us to frame and plan common ideas for a sustainable future for our city and our territory” concludes Emidio Nardini.
