Thiago Motta will be the new coach of Juventus. According to ‘Corriere della Sera’ on newsstands today, there are no longer any doubts about who will lead the Juventus club next season: it is the current Bologna coach who will sign a two-year contract worth 3.5 million euros net per season with an option for the third year.

It was (also) this negotiation, which certainly cannot be put together in a few days, that wore down Allegri’s spirit and pride, in the long run, until the explosion on Wednesday night. According to the newspaper, the first meeting between Giuntoli and Motta in Floriano, in the Modena area, took place after Juventus’ defeat against Inter, a match that kicked off the Nerazzurri’s undisputed Scudetto sprint.
Allegri didn’t like the lack of clarity from Giuntoli in recent months, from the company. And having understood only through the newspapers that regardless of how the season would have ended – including the victory of the Italian Cup – he would have been sacked.

Juventus will therefore start again with the current Bologna coach: the agreement in principle has been reached and, at this point, only the signatures on the contract are missing. The fate of Allegri remains to be understood, a coach who after Wednesday evening’s outburst also opened up the possibility of an early dismissal.
