WORDS – A project that in my opinion is the best that could be done. It is a work based on a 1960 artefact. The project is that of a very airy stadium and it is an airiness that modern stadiums do not have. Right now it is a ruin that the Municipality wants to protect, a historical asset. The engineer who designed it was Nervi, who was also a designer and was responsible for managing the works. Today, this artifact must have its function. What are the critical issues? Today we do this work by placing it on a frame from 1960 and the concept of football that existed at that time, the needs for safety, accessibility and economic exploitation are not the same. The urban planning solutions practiced in the past have now changed: Lazio has created an A+ project, but under given conditions. The point is that a work must be able to breathe and fit harmoniously into its context. Since it is a construction project, no urban planning work will be carried out to increase parking. The Stadium will be very beautiful to look at, but the paradox is that it costs much more this way than rebuilding it from scratch
