Road accident in Viale Regione Siciliana near the Bonagia Eni building towards Catania. A young man, Samuele Fuschi, 38 years old on a motorbike ended up on the ground and died.
For the young man who was traveling on a Honda Sh 300 motorbike there was nothing that could be done. The 118 health workers intervened and confirmed his death.
The investigations are conducted by the municipal police. Long queues formed in Viale Regione Siciliana. It seems that the young man ended up in a hole that had opened in Viale Regione Siciliana and would have left the motorcyclist no escape.
Scooter accident, a 46-year-old woman dies in hospital, under investigation
He had been seriously injured in a car accident in the Ucciardone area. On board the Scarabeo scooter he was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Polo which caused him serious injuries. At the beginning of May, just a few days later, Raffaele Pesco, 57, died in hospital at the Polyclinic.
A 46-year-old woman is under investigation for vehicular homicide. The car was seized. The accident occurred in the morning, around 10.30 am on April 26th. The vehicles involved a Scarabeo scooter, driven by Pesco, and a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 46-year-old (her initials VG). For reasons yet to be ascertained, the two vehicles, which were traveling in the direction of Via Crispi, collided sideways. In the impact the 57-year-old, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the saddle, hitting the asphalt violently. He was rescued by 118 health workers and transported to hospital. Here after a few days he died.
He wrote a letter under investigation for road homicide after the death of Raffaele Pesco, 57, which occurred after an accident in front of the Ucciardone prison, in Palermo, and 10 days of agony in hospital. That April 26th he will never be forgotten. As we read in the Giornale di Sicilia, the woman wrote a letter to explain, also to Pesco’s relatives, who had accused her, in no uncertain terms, of not having taken an interest in the fate of their loved one after the accident, what she had passed these days.
“These words of mine come after days of silence. Know that it was not indifference to your pain but respect for your pain. I too am a daughter who lost her father, I know what you are feeling – writes the woman -. I suffered a great upheaval due to the accident, but I never stopped inquiring about Mr. Raffaele’s health conditions, using the numbers I had from the accident office. I also tried to contact the doctors, constantly asking about him. I hoped with all my heart that he would recover.” A hope that was unfortunately shattered by the news of his death.
