Bad weather: interventions by firefighters throughout the Veneto

The bad weather that hit the Veneto region has caused a series of problems and requests for help in the last few hours. According to what was reported by the firefighters, as many as 250 interventions were carried out during the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The requests for help mainly concerned situations related to flooding, landslides and unsafe plants. In the province of Verona, for example, 60 interventions were carried out for damage caused by water. The area of ​​San Bonifacio and Soave was particularly affected, with reports of motorists stuck in underpasses.

Also in Padua, 60 interventions were carried out in the province, with particular emphasis on the municipalities of Montagnana and Casale di Scodosia. A landslide invaded the road behind the Rocca di Monselice.

In Vicenza, 71 interventions for water damage were recorded, with Malo among the most affected places. Landslides and landslides have occurred in the upper Vicenza area.

In Rovigo, 26 interventions were carried out, while in Treviso and Venice, although with a lower number of interventions, emergency situations were still recorded.

The fire brigade’s rescue system has been further strengthened with personnel retained on duty to deal with rescue requests that may still occur due to the persistence of adverse weather conditions.
