A symphony of colors. The 1st and 2nd of June in the municipality of Paduli the traditional flower display event will be held. On the occasion of the religious solemnity of Corpus ChristiPaduli transforms into a “colorful village” with the petals to draw faces of the Madonna and Christ, themes and religious environments. An extraordinary manifestation of artistic expressions, but also of religious feelings which can also boast the logo signed by the artist Mimmo Paladin, the most illustrious of the Padulians. As per tradition, the big one Infiorata of Paduli it will open with the parish priest Don Enrico Francesco Julianwith the Blessed Sacrament, together with mayor Domenico Vessichelli, who will travel along the streets transformed into a large flowered carpet. This is the most intense moment of the day, an expression of the devotion of the entire community where faith is intertwined with tradition.

They will be further 30 paintings which from the early hours of dawn on June 2nd will be made by putting together the petals of many flowering plants and trees according to a skilful reconstruction. There will be no shortage of collateral events which this morning in the Council Hall of the Rocca dei Rettori were described in a press conference with the participation also of the provincial councilor Antonio Capuano representing the President of the Province Nino Lombardi.

Dominic Vessichelli underlined: “The paintings will be ready by 12pm on June 2nd. We will not limit ourselves only to the procession. we will leave on May 18th with numerous activities. We wanted to combine sport, art, culture, tradition and food and wine. There will be a regional rugby tournament but there will be a national provincial under 14 football tournament. We have established a synergy with Coldiretti with the zeppole and its food stands. We are also focusing on the educational farm and then this year there will also be the participation of slow food”. The mayor Vessichelli he also announced that on 28 June the Padulian community will be in Rome to create a painting in St. Peter’s Square for the UNESCO candidacy of the flower display.
