MIRANDOLA – For months he persecuted the young neighbor couple with death threats and throwing stones at the house who, with three small children, had even stopped coming home on their lunch break: terrified of the man who threatened to cut their throats.
The facts date back to February and March 2023 when the couple moved to a villa in Mirandola. From the start, however, he had to deal with his neighbor – a 36-year-old of Nigerian origins, with a science degree in Qatar, as emerged during the investigations – who lived in a container a few steps from their home. The man had begun to threaten them with death, making the lives of the two young people hell.
On May 15, however, the man was acquitted during the trial in which he was accused of stalking and threats. According to the judges, in fact, the 36-year-old is incapable of understanding and wanting: according to the expert opinion he is suffering from schizophrenic – paranoid problems which lead him to mystify reality. The judges therefore established the application of the security measure in a Rems, as soon as there is a place available. In the meantime the man will remain in a nursing home.
