“A couple of hours of rain were enough to once again find ourselves in a situation with serious flooding in some streets of Lugo and the surrounding area. From via Isonzo, published on social media by the Municipality of Lugo, to via Fossa, to the Madel area with people who find water in their homes again.
All this happens because Hera does not carry out maintenance on the sewers, despite the flood disaster, despite the fact that the Tari for citizens continues to increase, despite the enormous profits that Hera produces (in September 2023 approximately 267 million euros) every year it continues to offer a service lacking and undersized in people, resources and investments. In an article coming out in Corriere Romagna we talked about this situation.
We can no longer allow Hera to act in this way, as we said in our program either HERA CHANGES OR WE CHANGE HERA, unfortunately since the common shareholders sold the shares, public ownership of Hera has gone from 62% to 45.83% i.e. they have no longer had a majority for a few years and therefore Hera is not accountable for what it does or does not do, we therefore ask for immediate intervention from the Municipality before the situation worsens.”
