The fifteen year old Alice Di Chinno and the new regional champion National category A of «Dance only». The young girl from Castel Mella talks to her mother Lara and father Andrea, who have always been her adventure companions, about her passion for the still little-known discipline which she practices at the Csc Roncadelle Skating Asd, a reality present in the area since 1981: «I I started practicing this sport in 2018 and, despite some difficulties such as being able to combine training with studying, I never stopped. Dance alone is one specialty of figure skating and includes various dances. The main difference is that there are no jumps or spins. In fact, the focus shifts to many other things including the choreography. I’m very happy to have reached this goal because I fought a lot to get this far: now I’m training for the Italian dance solo championship this summer.”
The specialty, officially added to the International Skating Union website last December, is gaining more and more acceptance in the world of rollerblading. Similar to traditional free art play on foot steps and choreography rewarding more than athletic performance theelegance and it style of skating.
