“I’ll punch two holes in your head”: death threats from a witness, today, against a lawyer, during the maxi trial underway in the bunker room of the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in the province of Caserta, on beatings that occurred in the “Francesco Uccella” prison on 6 April 2020.
It all happened during the testimony of a victim of the violence, Gennaro Romano, who became a civil party and is currently detained for injuries and robbery.
After talking about the violence he suffered from when he was in the cell and all the way to the social room (“I had pain in my knee and they hit me there anyway”) – intolerant of the questions posed to him by the lawyer Carlo De Stola, who defends some accused prison officers, then heavily threatened: “I’ll punch two holes in your head” he told him when the hearing had been temporarily suspended to restore calm, given that Romano had shown himself intolerant of the lawyer’s questions . Lawyer Carlo De Stavola has not ruled out the lawsuit.
